In 1997, five performers committed to the love of harmony and ensemble, converged to form the High 5 Vocalworks. Although some of the faces have changed, the common bond remains the same – love for music, performance, and laughter. And that’s what High5VW is all about.

	DEBORAH IVRY — Alto & Producer Deborah, the founder of H5VW, spent years on the road singing and performing in regional theatres. Tired of being homeless, she settled in NYC and found a home in television. She appeared in soaps, network series and national commercials (notably Schweppes and Alpo) and was heard in many a jingle. Disenchanted with selling sodas and dog food, she now teaches voice and musical theatre in Nyack, NY. "Woof!”
	RAY LAGSTEIN — Baritone An original member of H5VW, Ray has been singing in groups and shows for well over 90 years. He is also a seasoned soloist and was offered a recording contract with Columbia Records. A true renaissance man, Ray, in his spare time, has become an accomplished painter-- despite losing his hearing.
	Rebecca L. Beyler — Soprano Trumping Michael’s claim to fame, Rebecca is now the official newest member of High 5, and is grateful to be joining the ranks of such highly skilled and completely unbalanced musicians. First heard at the age of two humming Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 through a mouthful of Cheerios, she’s now all grown up and equipped with years of solo, ensemble, and musical theater experience. Nutritionist by day and couch potato by night, she welcomes the challenge of helping High 5 turn the classics avant-garde, the standards extraordinary, and to support the cause of oldies as the best goodies.
	MICHAEL FLEMING — Tenor Michael graduated with a degree in Music from Vassar College where he studied voice, and was music director of the a cappella group, The Vassar Devils. Michael is a member of Taubenslag Productions, a touring children’s theatre company. His most recent role was“Frankie” in the musical, Forever Plaid. His level of commitment to High 5 is both impressive and irrational - he drives more than four hours a week to attend rehearsals. He is seriously contemplating a permanent change of address to the trunk of his car.
	YUVAL COHEN — Music Director, Arranger & Keyboards Israeli pianist, Yuval Cohen, joined the group in 2005 as musical director.  He leads his own jazz trio and directs musical projects in New York City.  A graduate of the Mannes College of Music and a finalist in the Great American Jazz Piano Competition (Jacksonville 2000), Yuval has performed in numerous venues throughout the US and Europe.  He plays for the theatre, and performs as a soloist and as an accompanist.
	CELESTE - Director Celeste has directed more than 400 cabaret shows in NYC and was nominated for Best Director by the MAC Association. She worked with Alan Rachins, Alan Ruck, Barry Bostwick, Kaye Ballard, Sally Kellerman and Chita Rivera. Celeste is also a singer/comedienne who’s worked with legends Wayland Flowers & Madame, Rita Moreno, the Pointer Sisters and Leslie Uggams. Her vocal students have appeared on Broadway in The Lion King, Chicago, Gypsy, Nine, Wicked, Spamalot and the Carnegie Hall concert version of South Pacific.
